About Us - Georgia Collies
AKC Collies in Georgia

Our mission statement, is to glorify God in everything we do.
We are located in Watkinsville, Ga which is east of Atlanta near Athens, Ga. Steve is a microbiologist with USDA in Athens, Georgia at the Richard Russell Bldg and Carol is a part time librarian at Georgia Piedmont Technical College and works full time at home with the children while homeschooling them.
We have always enjoyed working with animals, for 7 years, we owned and operated a pet sitting service in Loganville, Ga but when we moved to Watkinsville, 16 years ago, we decided not to relocate our business. During the time we were pet sitting, we got to know a large variety of animals and of all the breeds that we kept, we really enjoyed the larger breeds and especially a particularly friendly collie that we loved so much so that we eventually got our first collie from the parents of this collie. Zak (AKC pedigree Zacchaeus Dial) was our first collie and his sire and dame (Mom and Dad) are also AKC registered and are very gentle dogs, born: May 2002. Zak passed away in 2016.
Our second collie was a female from Tennessee, we got Maggie (AKC pedigree Mary Magdalene Dial) from her family during the winter of 2005; born Nov. 2004. We went to visit and meet both of her parents at their home in Tennessee for a day. Both her parents are also AKC registered and gentle. She was a much needed companion for Zak and has really taught Zak to play and is his constant companion. He misses his playmate when she is nursing the puppies; he will go into the basement and sit with her just to be with her and hangout with his family. Maggie passed away in Fall 2017.
Our third collie is Rosie; is Zak and Maggie's puppy. Rosie is our daughter's dog (AKC pedigree Mary Grace Rose of Sharon). She is a wonderful playful addition to our family. She is a very beautiful sable & white collie, my daughter has taught her many different commands. Rosie is now our Grandmomma dame.
We added to our family again. We decided to keep a collie for our last litter from Zak & Maggie, her name is Avie (AKC pedigree Avalon Autumn Sky). Avie is seven and she will no longer be bred.
We are excited to have a new collie for our family, Gweneviere. We adopted her in the Spring of 2018 from a breeder in South Carolina.
